BEAUMARIS Residential House designed by Marcus O'Reilly Architects

This house was designed along the north-south access to attract sun into living areas. The back has a great view over a golf-course but faces west, so window recesses were carefully slotted in to maximise the view, minimise heat-load and break up the facade. The tower over the stair and study passively collects warm air, which is ventilated out in summer and returned to the cooler part of the house below via ducts in winter.
